Seeking Derrick Hands in Alberta: Up to $40.52/Hour, 12 Hours Shifts
What Primus Workforce is Hiring for:
Responsibilities
- Aligning and stacking sections of the drill pipe
- Practicing general housekeeping activities like cleaning, tidying, etc.
- Keeping a record of the mudflows and volumes
- Operating the mud pump and mixing mud, fluids, and chemicals into it
- Carrying out viscosity tests by measuring mud density
- Conducting derrick inspections while working at height
- Supervising floor hands and laborers during rig up/out operation
- Working on the hydraulic catwalks
Pay Range
$28.11 – $40.52 per hour
Core Competencies Required
Must be able to work for long periods of time (12-hour shift), Must be physically fit to lift heavy equipment, Ability to sustain expenses of accommodation and meals in non-camp situations, Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions like rain, heat/cold, and exposure to loud noises, Have the ability to work in a rapid-paced/repetitious environment
