What Jardeg is Hiring for:

Heartland Constructors is hiring DSP Heavy Equipment Technician / Heavy Duty Mechanic Journeypersons to work as an Independent Service Provider with their own field service truck at the Imperial Oil Kearl Lake site near Fort MacKay, Alberta. The shift schedule is 14 days on, 14 days off at $135 per hour base rate plus $80/day Incentive Bonus & $25/day Retention Bonus.

RETENTION ALERT!


  • The Incentive Program consists of an additional $80/day for this position - paid weekly. To receive incentive, "days worked" will be defined as minimum 4 hrs of work on site.
  • The Retention Program offers an additional $25/day, paid by January 31st, 2023 (or following corresponding pay period), or upon release by the employer (end of project).
  • Temporary Travel Allowance Program effective until January 31st, 2023:


Training and Experience Requirements:

  • Journeyperson Certificate (Red Seal) Heavy Equipment Technician.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience on large graders, shovels, dozers (D-9 - D-11's) and haul trucks (797's).
  • Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS-09 or 2020) Certification.
  • Truck Mounted Crane.
  • Basic Rigging.
  • Aerial Work Platform.
  • Energy Safety Canada Certified Fall Protection.
  • First Aid – Standard Level Certification.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Ability to understand hydraulic and electronic schematics.
  • Qualify as an Independent Service Provider.

 

Preferred

  • Telehandler Certificate.
  • Forklift Certificate.
