Heavy Equipment Technician (Field and Shop)

Seeking a Journeyman or Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician for an established company with multiple locations in Western Canada.  Their customers are throughout the US and Canada marketplace.  They have had success over several decades assembling and servicing specialized heavy equipment for the pulp and paper, oil and gas, rail, transportation, and manufacturing sectors. 

There is currently a need to hire a heavy duty mechanic.  In this role you will work Mon-Fri and split time between the shop and the field

You will be based in the Red Deer area and be available for field work across Alberta 2 weeks per month between Mon and Fri.  For field time you will be provided accommodations, per diem, and service vehicle.  You will be afforded the opportunity for overtime.

Required Qualifications :

-5 plus years of mechanic experience. 

-Journeyman or Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician.

-Demonstrated background working on drivelines and engines is highly beneficial.

-Rebuild and overhaul experience an asset.

-High mechanical aptitude, electrical knowledge is valued.

-Outstanding troubleshooting and problem solving capabilities.

-Clear verbal and written English skills.

-Ability to interact professionally and in a positive level headed manner with customers when required.
