What ATCO is Hiring for:

As a B Pressure Welder, you will be integral to both shop and field welding operations. You will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of welding equipment and tools related to construction operations. Must possess a strong commitment to personal, public, coworker, and job safety.

What You Get to Do

  • Conduct various welding tasks, including piping, structural assemblies, and high-pressure vessels and weld fittings into in-service lines following company and external codes.
  • Interpret drawings for fabrication, tying-in, and hydrostatic testing of new assemblies.
  • Maintain and repair various assemblies such as truck beds, trailers, and specialized equipment.
  • Conduct leak repairs as per company standards.
  • Keep company vehicles, tools, and welding equipment in optimal condition.

What You Bring

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Journeyman Welder Certificate and B Pressure Welding Certificate from a recognized program.
  • CWB SMAW all position welder qualification (or ability to obtain).
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and eligibility for In-House Operator’s Certificate.
  • Completion (or willingness to complete) defensive driving and first aid training.
  • Ability to read system plans, mechanical and working drawings.
  • Knowledge of natural gas industry regulatory codes and updates on industry standards
  • Ability to qualify under in-house welding procedures.
  • Willingness to travel and work in various terrains and weather conditions, including staying away from home base for short durations.
  • Proficiency using technology (smart phones, tablets) to access information and provide reporting.
  • Availability for standby duties and emergency responses.
