Truck Mechanic Technician Lead

Location: Mississauga, Ontario

Shifts:

• Ability to work any shift and weekends, depending on the demands of the business.

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic inspections on truck-tractor systems.
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections of components.
• Execute repairs on truck-tractor components.
• Record work details on shop repair orders accurately.
• Complete paperwork reflecting hours, parts, and lube usage.
• Communicate deviations to Company policy to supervisors.
• Support Shift Supervisor in training and instructing mechanics.
• Implement Lean Principles for improved efficiency.
• Ensure a safe work environment and adherence to safety procedures.
• Run shift work in line with shop objectives.

Education:

• High school diploma required; Technical Degree preferred.

Certificates & Licenses

• Must have 310T certification

Experience

• Minimum of five years of truck-trailer repair experience, preferably in a lead role.

Knowledge & Skills

• Extensive knowledge of diesel mechanics.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise, make decisions, and demonstrate adaptability.
• Customer service experience with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Flexibility with work hours and the ability to work any shift, including weekends.
• Safety-conscious individual with a track record of completing job functions without repeat repairs.
