What Sureway Construction Group Ltd is Hiring for:

 Transport Refrigeration Technician (Heavy Equipment Shop)

Location: Edmonton, AB

Job Type: Regular Full-Time 

Pay: Competitive

Type: Full Time, Permanent

Schedule: 10+ Hours per day (day shift), 5 & 2, OT after 8hr/day or 44hr/week

Other Requirements:

  • Personal Reliable Vehicle
  • CSA-approved steel-toed boots with 6” ankle support

Pre-employment
  • Drug and alcohol testing (swab or urine, depending on site requirements)
  • Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation
  • Fitness to Work Assessment

Qualifications:

  • Journeyperson Transport Refrigeration Technician is preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License (non-GDL)

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong diagnostic ability, including trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills is required
  • Overhaul and service air conditioning, heating units, and systems
  • Exceptional organization and cleanliness skills are REQUIRED

Experience

  • Experience working in a dealership specializing in Chrysler and Dodge, light and medium-duty trucks (gasoline and diesel) is beneficial

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure equipment is maintained at the highest standards, in a timely manner
  • Conduct performance and quality checks according to procedure
  • Perform preventative maintenance, repair, overhaul, troubleshoot, and test mechanical and electronic equipment
  • Utilizing automotive experience in the shop/field to maintenance equipment/trucks
  • Promote, execute, and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors, and consultants to adopt safety as a culture
