Heavy Equipment Forklift Mechanic

Location: Mississauga, On

Pay: $39.78/Hourly

Job Type: Direct Hire

Position: full time | Permanent

Schedule

• Monday – Friday 
• 7:00am-3:00pm 
• Overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Work through preventative maintenance program
• Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy machinery and work in cramped or awkward positions.
• Inventory management; tracking parts
• Operates hand, power, specialized, precision, and electronic service tools to make required repairs
• Participate in formal and informal training sessions
• Must be able to work flexible schedule to support hours of operations
• Must be self-motivated and flexible to take on any task that may arise
• Cooperative attitude, team player
• Ensure compliance with all M.O.E, Occupational Health, and Safety Regulations
• The job is within a heavy industrial environment, and you may be required to work within various areas of the facility. The environmental conditions may be hot, cold, dirty, dusty, wet, or noisy.
• Safety is our highest priority, and safety procedures and guidelines must be adhered to at all times, such as lock out / tag out, machine guarding control, confined space entry and Hot Work. This includes wearing personal protective equipment, such as a hard hat, eye protection, hearing protection, respirators, flame retardant clothing and safety shoes with metatarsal protection at all times during a work shift.
• Employees work in a unionized, highly industrial foundry setting.

Certificates & Licenses

• Certified lift truck mechanic (e.g., 310T, 310S, 421T)
  
• Valid driver’s license
