What MATRIX is Hiring for:

MatrixHR is only getting busier for the construction season! We are currently recruiting for experienced Skilled Labour workers for various clients and sites around Calgary and the surrounding areas. These positions are both temporary in nature and long term ongoing roles. Must have experience and expertise in construction-related activities.
Pay Rate: $22/hr - $24/hr
Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair structures and systems.
  • Operate and maintain various tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors and complete assigned tasks within deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Perform general cleanup and maintenance of the site

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of construction practices, techniques, and materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Proficient in using hand tools, power equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Effective communication and teamwork

Competencies:

  • Proficient in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work and other trade skills.
  • Knowledgeable in using measuring tools, such as tape measures and levels.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures on construction sites.
  • Strong time management skills

Ideal Certifications/PPE:

  • Fall Protection
  • WHMIS 2015
  • CSTS 2020
  • EWP/AWP (asset)
  • Steel Toed Boots, Hard Hat, Gloves, Safety Glasses, Safety Vest
  • Steel toed rubber boots (asset)
