Job Description:

• We are seeking a high-character, motivated, quick learner for a positive, team-oriented work environment. The parts technician will join a team of 4 and contribute to the growth of the business. Skills in inventory management, shipping/receiving, and a comfort in a customer-driven environment are essential. The ideal candidate should have experience in heavy machinery sales and service, equipment rental, or similar industries dealing with parts and inventory. Computer proficiency is also required.

Duties include:

• Inventory stock management
• Order parts for the service departmentRespond to customer requests at the counter, phone, fax, or email
• Perform periodic inventories and corrections in the internal system
• Explore supplying alternatives for new and used parts
• Negotiate with carriers, brokers, and customs
• Prepare sales and purchase reports for the branch
• Follow up on back orders with vendors
• Perform claims for parts on warranty
• Other related tasks

Experience

• 3+ years of parts experience

Knowledge & Skills

• Good inventory skills
• Strong understanding of shipping/receiving
• Customer service-oriented attitudeTeam player
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Quick learner and interested in ongoing training and development
• Computer savvy
