2nd & 3rd Year Apprentice - Heavy Equipment Technician

Location: Edmonton, AB

Pay: $20.00-$45.00 per hour.

Job Type: Full Time

Schedule: 

• 8+ Hours/day, Fab Shop: 
• Monday-Friday, Project Shifts Vary
• Schedule as per Operational Requirements
• OT after 8hr/day or 40hr/week

Tools & Equipment

• Full Complement of Hand Tools

• CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support

Travel

• Personal Reliable Vehicle

• 2nd and 3rd Year Apprentices will be considered for this position
• Apprentices must be in good standing with AIT

Experience

• Off Road experience is REQUIRED
• Experience with CAT E.T. and S.I.S. and/or Komatsu is REQUIRED
• Experience with CAT Scrapers is Beneficial

Knowledge & Skills

• Ability to read/troubleshoot and diagnose using hydraulic and electronic schematics
  
• Exceptional organization and cleanliness skills are REQUIRED

Responsibilities:

• Ensure equipment is maintained at the highest standards, in a timely manner
• Conduct performance and quality checks according to procedure
• Perform preventative maintenance, repair, and overhauls
• Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture
