Job Type: Temp To Perm

Location: Dundas, ON

Pay Rate$22 / hour

Available shifts: 3rd Shift (Night)

Job Details

  • Read and understand blueprints and assembly drawings.
  • Develop a basic knowledge of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment
  • Use a variety of measuring instruments including tape measures, squares, and level
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools including tin snips, screw guns, drills, and grinders
  • Use a MIG welder for tacking and stitch welding
  • Use a variety of fabrication equipment (shear, brake press, notch machine, etc.
  • Assemble air handler equipment base frames, wall panels, cabinet, and internal components
  • Operate material handling equipment including forklift, crane, and pump cart
  • Maintain shop and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized manner
  • Work efficiently, effectively, and safely
  • Other duties as assigned

Job requirements:

  • Able to work in an environment with many distractions, maintaining a high level of accuracy and safety, while performing your duties.

Qualifications

  • Secondary school diploma or equivalent 2-3 years' experience in a manufacturing or construction environment

Experience

  • Experience working on HVAC equipment an asset
  • Experience with industrial painting is an asset
  • Experience with sheet metal & metal fabrication processes

Knowledge & Skills

  • Basic knowledge of assembly/manufacturing equipment and processes
  • Knowledge of fabrication equipment (shear, brake press, cut to length line, notch machine, etc.
  • Basic math, reading, and computer skills

Work Conditions

  • Ability to lift heavy parts (50 lbs.) and stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to work in a team or group environment and independently with minimal instruction
  • Ability to work under pressure and short deadlines
  • Own a pair of CSA Green Tag Steel Toe Boots required
