Heavy Equipment Technician – Transport Trailer Mechanic (1st & 2nd Year)

Location: Edmonton, AB

Type: Regular Full-Time

Pay: Competitive

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Schedule: 

• 10+ Hours per day
• 5 & 2, OT after 8hr/day or 44hr/week

Requirements:

• Full Complement of Hand Tools
• Personal Reliable Vehicle
• CSA approved steel-toed boots with 6” ankle support
• Valid Driver’s License (non GDL)

Pre-employment:

• Drug and alcohol testing (swab or urine depending on site requirements)
• Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation
• Fitness to Work Assessment

Qualifications:

• 1st and 2nd Year HET – Transport Trailer Apprentices
• Engine Rebuild and Performance Software Experience Required
• CVIP Certification Beneficial
• Power Train Experience Beneficial

Experience

• Experience with Electronics and Emissions Beneficial

Knowledge & Skills

• Ability to read/troubleshoot and diagnose using hydraulic and electronic schematics
• Exceptional organization and cleanliness skills required

Responsibilities:

• Maintain equipment at the highest standards, promptly
• Conduct performance and quality checks according to procedure
• Perform preventative maintenance, repair, and overhauls
• Promote and adhere to the company’s safety program
