Project: Capital Power Genesee

Location: Warburg, AB

Duration: 12 months +/-

Project Descriptions

• Repowering of existing Unit 1 & Unit 2 steam turbines at Genesee Generating Station 1 x 1 combined cycle blocks, which include one frame gas turbine generator (GTC), and one heat recovery steam generator (HRSG). The GTC includes a bypass stack and shall be capable of simple cycle operation.

Schedule

• 8 hours Regular Time
• 2 hours Overtime per day worked

• 5 days on, 2 days off

Benefits

• Vacation:10%
• Breaks: Two 30-minute breaks (first break paid)
  

Work Conditions

• Must be able to work outside in various weather conditions

Safety

• Safety training provided

Travel/Transportation

• Limited bussing available
• Daily Travel allowance available
• Local candidates within 100km to the site are preferred

Duties

• Clean up loose materials
• Cleaning completed structures
• Snow Removal
• General labouring duties

Knowledge & Skills

• Excellent communication skills, good attitude, and willingness to learn
  
• Must be able to work in a team or alone
• Must be able to take direction
• Must be safety conscious and adhere to all PCL safety processes and policies
• Negative Drug & Alcohol test required
• Other qualifications may be required
