Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic: $50.00/hr (Leduc, Alberta)

Job summary:

• Ability to communicate and manage people in a direct and respectful manner
• Ability to communicate with customers in a professional and clear manner
• Ability to conduct CVIP inspections
• Troubleshoot major and minor mechanical problems
• Ability to repair and adjust mechanical components
• Complete all paperwork as required by management
• Repair and adjust truck drive lines, engines and any other necessary mechanical components
• Instruct and teach apprentices
• Diagnose and determine the nature and extent of repairs
• Other mechanical repair work and duties as required
• Be available and willing to work occasional overtime as required
• Able to perform mechanical services in shop and on site as required

Required education:

• 3rd year or Journeyman HET ticket
• CVIP technician license
• Minimum 3 years experience
• Minimum class 5 drivers license ( Class 1 preferred )
• Clean driving record for company insurance purposes
