Journeyperson and apprentice Ironworkers at our CNRL Horizon DRU-1 PROJECT in the Fort McMurray, AB area.

SALARY: $29.16 - $48.00 per hourOVERTIME: After 8 hours in a day, or 40 hours in a weekTRAVEL: Fly In/Fly Out from Edmonton and/ or CalgarySTART DATE: ASAPSCHEDULE: 8 days on, 6 days offHOURS PER DAY: 11.5 hours per dayPAY SCHEDULE: Weekly Pay (Friday)SHIFT: DayshiftACCOMODATIONS: CampDURATION: TBDWORK SCOPE: Heater pre-assembly & installation


  • Must have a valid Journeyperson or Apprentice Certification from a recognized provincial training authority
  • Must possess valid CSTS 2020
  • OSSA/ESC Fall Protection
  • WHMIS 2015
  • Confined Space
  • Standard First Aid
  • Previous industrial construction experience is an asset


  • Fabricates structural steel, ornamental work and pre-cast structures on a variety of projects.
  • Studies blueprints, drawing and specifications to determine the lay out of work.
  • Position steel units, align holes and insert temporary bolts while checking alignments and joining steel parts using simple torque and hand wrenches.
  • Attach cables from a crane and direct crane operators with hand signals and/ or radio.
  • Unload and stack steel units so each piece can be hoisted as needed
  • Know, understand, and operate grinders safely in accordance with safe work practices and procedures
  • Ability to recognize spool hoisting point and utilize proper rigging techniques and signals while working in a fast-paced environment
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
