HSE Manager (Drilling)

Location: Houston, TX

Pay:  $150,000.00 – $175,000.00 per year

Position: Full time

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • On call
  • Weekend availability

Travel / Transportation

  • Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Responsibilities

•The HSE Manager oversees and supports multiple rigs in a region

•Primary responsibilities include effectively managing HSE Advisors during rig inspections and incident reviews, coordinating support for area management groups within the region and providing rig support

•Additionally, the HSE Manager works with field personnel to conduct incident investigations and assist with training programs

•The HSE Manager is also responsible for coaching, teaching, and training employees in an assigned responsibility area

•Initiate and foster productive customer relationships to ensure customer needs are met consistently and in a timely manner based on standards established within the Health, Safety and Environment department

•Oversee onsite rig inspections including conducting follow-up reviews to ensure the safety of personnel and proper maintenance of equipment and machinery

•Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day activities and duties performed by HSE Advisors

•Work with all area management to support all regional and company goals

•Assist with New to Industry and Employee Safety Orientation training

•Conduct incident investigations and provide support to coordinate appropriate corrective actions based upon findings

•Effectively lead, manage, and develop HSE Advisors to drive individual performance goals and ensure overall performance aligns with Company standards

•Communicate and follow-up on day-day issues to ensure that Area Management, Rig Managers and crews understand and comply with all policies and procedures

•Provide additional rig support and leadership as necessary to ensure personnel safety, efficiency in all operations, and customer satisfaction

•Communicate effectively with coworkers, internal and external customers, and third parties verbally and in writing

•Maintain relationships with internal and external customers and other key stakeholders

•Make employment decisions in a manner consistent with all Company policies

Experience:

  • EHS: 3 years (Required)
  • managing safety systems such as ISN: 3 years (Required)
  • drilling related: 3 years (Required)
