Heavy Duty Mechanic Wanted in Rocky View County, AB: $50–$55 an hour - Full-time

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of vehicles and equipment including not limited to vacuum trucks, pressure trucks, tanker truck, high pressure water truck and road maintenance equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and provide appropriate solutions.
• Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and recommend preventive measures.
• Repair or replace faulty parts and components using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs being completed.
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of mechanical issues with various equipment.
• Observe and enforce all company and client safety requirements on site.

Qualifications

• Valid and Clean Class 5 license is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a heavy-duty mechanic or related field position.
• Journeyman's ticket is not required; however, would be an asset.
• First Aid Certification is required.
• H2S Alive is an asset

Skills

• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Safety focused when it comes to people and equipment.
• Ability to lift 50lbs or more on a regular basis.
• Comfortable working outside in various conditions.
• Perform basic welding and fabrication tasks.
