Trailer Mechanic
Location: Calgary, Alberta
Salary: $32 - $38 / Hourly
Job Type: Direct Hire

Shifts: Afternoon and evening shifts

Job Type: Full-time | Permanent

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on the fleet
  • Diagnose problems found during inspections
  • Prescribe appropriate remedial actions in a timely manner
  • Provide exceptional customer service to driversSupport and mentor 
  • Apprentices throughout their apprenticeship

Certificates & Licenses

  • Valid license as a Trailer or Tractor Technician/Mechanic
  • Class 5 Driver's LicenseSubstantial experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic working on tractors and trailers

Experience

  • Prior experience and qualification to perform 

Knowledge & Skills

  • Safeties are mandatoryDemonstrated expertise in diagnosing issues and effective time management
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Basic computer skills for paperless work order entryAbility to work independently without supervision

Pre-employment

  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
