What Ledcor is Hiring for:

Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada

Job Status: Full-Time

Pay: Competitive

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Safely and cost-effectively maintain heavy mobile equipment
  • Provide support to PM Mechanics and Maintenance technicians
  • Perform diagnostics and repairs on various CAT, Komatsu & Hitachi Equipment
  • Conduct pre-trip/walk-around safety inspections and complete daily field-level hazard assessments for all activities
  • Complete maintenance reporting and other documentation as required
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members
  • Lead both safety and production for the team by ensuring compliance with all company, client, and legislated safety policies and procedures

Experience

  • Must have 3+ years of previous experience on heavy civil/earthworks projects

Certificates & Licenses

  • Journeyperson certification from a recognized training authority
  • Must possess valid CSTS-2020 and WHIMS

Knowledge & Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision

Pre-employment

  • Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing

Work Conditions:

  • 14 days on / 7 days off rotational shift
