Client in Abbotsford Hiring A Parts Associate (Salary: $21.00- $25.00 per hour DOE)

Parts Associate

Location: Abbotsford, BC

Salary: $21- $25 per hour

Position: Full time

Schedule:

• Weekend shift 3X12
• Friday – Sunday
• 6:00am – 6:30pm

Role & Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers
• Analyze and respond promptly to customer inquiries with accuracy
• Record customer concerns precisely and relay all pertinent details to the maintenance team
• Escalate issues beyond the standard scope of work as necessary
• Skillfully analyze mechanical information provided by mechanics and enter it accurately into the system
• Retrieve necessary parts for repairs and maintenance and collaborate with mechanics
• Conduct thorough research, identification, and ordering of parts for internal and external customers
• Perform warehouse tasks to support both internal and external customers
• Prioritize workload and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Generate and prepare all required documentation for maintenance work
• Communicate with customers in person, over the phone, and via email as needed
• Assist in retrieving parts necessary for services as required by the maintenance team
• Finalize customer orders promptly after service completion and submit them for management approval
• Monitor and promptly address service counter activities, including customer interactions and parts management
• Accept and process customer payments for services rendered
• Present a professional image that positively represents the company to both internal and external customers
• Fulfill any additional duties as required

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent (Grade 12)

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in a service/parts environment

• Previous customer service experience is required

Competencies

• Knowledge of parts in the transportation industry is an asset
• Mechanical aptitude is beneficial
  
• Familiarity with equipment maintenance and components/parts
• Proficiency in using computers and the Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Effective presentation skills in one-on-one and small group situations with customers, clients, and colleagues
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and logical thinking
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities, including prioritizing multiple tasks
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Maintains a professional demeanor and exhibits exceptional customer service skills
