Apprentice Mechanic.

Location: Anjou, QC.

Job Type: Full-time.

Hours: Evening shift.

Pay: $21.57 - $35 per hour (DOE) + sign-on bonus.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers.
• Inspect and maintain tires, wheels, brakes, air systems, clutch/linkage, starting systems, electrical systems, PM's, electrical work, brakes, suspension, and product pump rebuilds.
• Follow safety protocols and use proper PPE.
• Adhere to procedures.

Experience/Requirements:

• Valid Class 5 Driver License.
• Red Seal certification is an asset.
• CVIP Certification is an asset.
• Two years of verifiable mechanic experience.
• Proficiency in the operation of hand and air tools.

Your Profile:

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Positive work ethic and attitude.

Other Job Details:

• May work above shoulder level with power and/or hand tools weighing 15 pounds or less and in confined spaces.
• Must meet physical requirements of the position, including mobility, vision, hearing, sense of smell, and appropriate dexterity levels.
• May stand, walk on various surfaces, bend, push, pull, crouch, climb stairs, and lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Must be willing and able to work at heights up to 15 ft.

Education: 

• Grade 12 or equivalent.

Tools & Equipment: 

• Hand and air tools.

Certificates & Licenses:

• Valid Class 5 Driver License.
• Red Seal certification (asset).
• CVIP Certification (asset).

Work Conditions: 

• May involve working at heights and in confined spaces.
