Maintenance Electrician

Location: Westwego, LA

Job Type: Full Time

Shifts: 2nd & 3rd

Pay: $31.33 /hr

Job Details

• Completing preventative, predictive, and reactive industrial electrical work throughout the facility.
• Documenting all completed work and conditions found, utilizing maintenance computer software as necessary.
• Installing, maintaining, testing, evaluating, and repairing various electrical components and systems.
• Operating mobile equipment such as forklifts, aerial lifts, scissor lifts, etc.
• Understanding and adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
• Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Pre-employment

• Eligibility to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform physical job duties including bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting.

Work Conditions

• Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions with personal protective equipment.

• Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice.

Experience

• Industrial electrical experience and/or a Journeyman Electrician license.

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic computer skills.
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), such as SAP.
• Experience working with high voltage electrical equipment.
• Experience with programming technologies, such as programmable logic controllers (PLC) and variable frequency drives (VFD).
