Pay: $18-$20 per hour

Hours: 

• Monday-Friday
• 8:00 am-5:00 pm 
• OT as needed

Job Description:

Under the direction of the Welding Supervisor, performs General MIG and TIG Welding as Needed. Working knowledge of hand tools, Drill Press, Grinders, Tape Measures & Sanders. Some flipping and handling of metal shopping carts throughout the day also required.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Experience in Welding, minimum of 3 years of welding experience; Certifications are a plus but not required
• Use of hand tools in a safe and proper manner
• Use of power tools in a safe and proper manner (After Training)
• Completes job assignments in a timely manner
• Metal Fabrication and Metal Manufacturing knowledge a plus

MAINTENANCE:

• General housekeeping in the area of work. (Clean up work area after each job)
• Responsible for reporting any equipment that is not working properly to the foreman in charge.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Welding responsibilities
• Follow instructions of supervisor/foreman.
• Communicates well with department foreman and other co-workers.
• Reports accidents or any incidents to the department foreman.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

• Skilled in reading, writing, and arithmetic in English or Spanish.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to understand & carry out oral and/or written instructions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Simple grasping with both hands, 3-6 hours.
• Reaching below the shoulder, 3-6 hours.
• Pushing, pulling with both hands, 1-3 hours.
• Lift materials up to 60 pounds 2 times a day.
• 3-6 hours of standing, bending, stooping, and reaching throughout the day.
• 1-3 hours of walking within the warehouse.
• Up to 1 hour of sitting a day.

Experience:

• Welding: 3+ years in Mig and Tig
