he Welder B Pressure is involved in the joining of tank walls, pipe, steel, beams, vessels, and other metal components. This work exists primarily outdoors in the erection of a tank facility and is physically demanding, including comfort with working at heights.

Shift: 

• Pre Turnaround: 11.5 Hour, 10 & 4
• Turnaround: 11.5 Hour straight through rotation
• Accommodation: Camp available
• Other: Travel Allowances (TAP)
• Travel: Flights provided from Edmonton or Calgary 
• Rate: $119.46 (Inclusive of employer contributions for vacation/statutory, health and welfare, RSP, pension, and education and training)

JOB DUTIES

• Comply with Company and Client Safety rules, as well as OH&S standards
• Read and interpret blue prints to determine requirements of the job
• Knowledge of welding vertical seams on a tank
• Comfortable working of heights up to 85ft
• Knowledge of welding with Sub-Arc procedure considered an asset
• Understands how to read drawings, fit nozzles and piping, and structural
• Clean and check weld for defects
• Attend required safety and tailgate/toolbox meetings
• May perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must hold a welder JM trade ticket
• B pressure ticket
• CSTS-09, CSTS-20, or CSO
• ESC Confined Space  is considered an asset
• ESC Fall Protection is considered an asset
• ESC H2S Alive  is considered an asset
• Able to work well in a team environment
• Must be physically able to lift 50lbs and climb in/under units in the field
• Organized and self-motivated
