Urgent Need: Class 1/3 Driver Wanted for Turnaround Event in Fort McMurray

Class 1/3 Driver

Location: Fort McMurray, AB

Type: Temporary/Contract

Pay: DOE

Job Details:

• Shifts: 6 days on, 1 day off | 11.5 hours/day | Day or night shifts
• Duration: Temporary, Full-time (Expected turnaround event from March to June 30th, 2024)

Responsibilities:

• Maintain waste services through collection and transportation of waste equipment
• Operate various vehicles and equipment as required (e.g., roll-off trucks, front-load waste trucks, tractor-trailer units, dozers, compactors, excavators)
• Conduct thorough commercial vehicle inspections and report deficiencies promptly
• Inspect waste bins, report defects, and monitor functionality
• Notify supervisors of delays, unsafe work sites, incidents, equipment breakdowns, and maintenance concerns
• Address and resolve client concerns

Pre-employment

• Legally eligible to work and reside in Canada

• Eligible to acquire access to all client’s sites

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience

Certificates & Licenses

• Valid Class 1 license or Class 3 license with Airbrake endorsement

Knowledge & Skills

• AB Oil Sands site experience preferred
• Driver’s abstract in good standing
• Load securement experience in accordance with AB Load Securement practices

• Physically fit and ready for duty
