Fly-in Labourers Needed at IOL Kearl (NEW Higher Rates & Wapasu Camp with Hot Meals)

Jardeg is recruiting  Labourers to join the Heartland Constructors Inc. team at the IOL KEARL site near Fort McKay, Alberta.

Charter flights are provided by the company from Calgary or Edmonton. While working on-site, workers will be staying at the Wapasu camp which will provide hot meals, lodging, workout facilities, Wi-Fi, commissary and much more! We also have new HIGHER rates for all craft workers! 

The positions are for our spring TURN AROUND STARTING IN MAY working 11.5 hours per day (2 x 30 minutes breaks, 1 paid, 1 unpaid).

Labourers assist skilled trades people and perform a wide range of tasks at construction sites.

Responsibilities:

• Labourers perform various general construction activities such as:
• Use of rigging equipment such as slings, shackles, chainfalls, etc.
• Rig up spools, valves, blinds, etc. for removal and installation.
• Working safely alongside mobile equipment such as telehandlers, mobile crane, etc
• Assisting Pipefitters with alignment and bolt up on 24” - 42” pipe.
• Erect and take down skid piles.
• Assist with stringing activities.
• Manual material handling.
• Operate hand and power tools.
• Clean and prepare sites.
• Perform spotting for various types of equipment as well as overhead powerlines.
• Understanding and following Jardeg's safety management system and core values
• MUST HAVE previous experience

Minimum Requirements:

• Journeyperson Ticket
• Standard First Aid (Level C or A)
• ESC Common Safety Orientation  
• ESC Wood Buffalo / Wildlife Awareness  
• ESC Confined Space & Monitor
• ESC Fall Protection
• Basic Rigging
• Valid Driver’s License  
• Other safety ticket(s) and orientation(s) required, as per the project team
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
