About Trojan
We are a successful safety/ medic /industrial fire fighting service company who's primary focus is to service the oil & gas industry in both NEBC and Alberta. We operate approximately 120 medics, 80 H2S Safety Specialists, 30 Firefighters and 6 Air Quality Monitoring Personnel at any given time.

About the job
The role of the dispatcher will be to take calls from clients and gather information such as the date & time of the job, the location and directions to site, what services are required, duration of job, equipment needed, accommodations and any other pertinent information. The dispatcher will input this information into Trojan Safety's operation system and will create a call sheet to provide to the employee dispatched for said job. The dispatch will work in conjunction with the shop personnel ensuring the correct equipment is being prepared for the jobs dispatched. The dispatcher will also be taking calls from field employees addressing any problems or concerns they may have. It is the dispatcher's responsibility to keep employees and equipment organized and to know what they have for available resources at any time. The dispatcher will be responsible for collecting and approving/denying any time off requests from field staff and ensuring field staff comply with hours of service requirements.
Salary: $72,000 - $90,000/year
Standard Shift: 10-4
Location: Fort St. John, BC (must be able to commute or relocate there before starting work)

Ideal candidate
The selected individual is required to live in Fort St John. They will be required to be present in the office during their shift including the weekend that are during their 10 day shift. The selected dispatcher will have general knowledge of the industrial safety industry and have an idea of equipment needed for what jobs. They will be confident and polite when talking with both staff and customers. Organizational skills are an absolute must. Being a quick and logical thinker is crucial for this position.
