What PCL Construction is Hiring for:

Tower Crane Rigger

Location: Kelowna, BC

Wages: $26.61/hr - $36.54/hr

Start of Project: February 2024

Duration of Project: Approximately 1.5 years

Crane Make and Model: 

  • Liebherr 316 EC-H

Shift: 

  • Monday-Friday
  • 7:00 am - 3:30 pm 
  • Overtime, weekends after hours may be required

Requirements:

  • For candidates with Provisional Tower Crane Operator designation, it will be considered an asset.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Formally trained in Safe Rigging Practices
  • Comply with company safety policies, procedures, and Occupational Health and Safety Regulations
  • Demonstrate competency in rigging various lifts
  • Safely rig various lifts for a tower crane and work closely with the operator in an active construction site with public interface
  • Assist crane operator in routine crane inspections and maintenance
  • Assist crane operator in providing accurate information for calculating lifting capacities
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills with mandatory good radio etiquette
  • Proficient knowledge of the construction, erection, and installation of wood and engineered formwork systems for decks, columns, walls, and structural steel
  • Willingness to perform general labor tasks as required
