What PCL Construction is Hiring for:

Tower Crane Rigger

Location: Kelowna, BC 

Wages: $26.61/hr - $36.54/hr

Start of Project: January 2024

Duration of Project: Approximately 1 year

Schedule 

  • Monday-Friday 
  • 7:00 am - 3:30 pm 
  • Overtime, weekends after hours may be required

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Formally trained in Safe Rigging Practices.
  • Comply with company safety policies, procedures, and Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.
  • Demonstrate competency in rigging various lifts.
  • Safely rig various lifts for a tower crane, working closely with the operator to move material and equipment around an active construction site with public interface.
  • Assist crane operator in routine crane inspections and maintenance, such as cleaning and lubricating as required.
  • Assist crane operator in providing accurate information for calculating lifting capacities.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills; good radio etiquette is mandatory.
  • Proficient knowledge of the construction, erection, and installation of wood and engineered formwork systems for decks, columns, walls, and structural steel.
  • Willingness to perform general labor tasks as required.
