Yard Worker (Mobile)

Location: Chetwynd, BC

Job Status: Temp, Full-Time

Project Duration: 6-months

Essential Responsibilities:

• Verify incoming materials
• Administer inventory control and order selection
• Oversee opening and closing duties in the Yard as required
• General site housekeeping
• Support daily upkeep of the yard, including organizing stock and yard maintenance
• Support receiving activities
• Operate forklift and lift heavy items (up to 40 lbs.)
• Drive between sites to transport smaller materials as required
• Build and maintain relationships with field teams
• Monitor yard activities ensuring proper processes are followed

Experience:

• 1-2 years of Warehouse/Yard work experience, preferably in a high-volume environment
• Experience in establishing relationships with various levels of an organization

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with MS Outlook, email
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Effective communication skills

• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, paired with a positive attitude
  

Qualifications

• Forklift Operator Certification required

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract required

Pre-employment

• Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol requirements and a Security Clearance Process

• Primarily outdoors in various weather conditions and all weather environments

Travel/Transportation

• Travel required up to 100% of the time

Schedule

• Monday – Friday 
• 8 hours per day
