Mechanical Engineer
Location: SASKATOON, SK,
Position: Temporary, Full Time
Duration: Until 11/29/2024

Job Details
- Engineering, project, and construction management for new designs, retrofits, and upgrades to facility mechanical systems.
- Development of preventative and predictive maintenance plans, leading inspections and testing of major electrical equipment.
- Assistance in the planning and execution of planned and unplanned maintenance outages.
- Support in developing maintenance and lifecycle management strategies for critical equipment.
- Promotion of Health and Safety in the workplace through formal/informal work observations.
- Preparation, review, and execution of safe work plans for activities with hazards or risks.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Eligible for membership in the Association of Professional Engineers of Saskatchewan (APEGS).
- Professional Engineering Designation - P. Eng. and relevant experience in engineering tasks.
Knowledge & Skills
- Competency in engineering/industry standards, internal processes, and procedures.
- Ability to mentor, coach, and support Engineers-In-Training.
- Results-oriented with the ability to manage complex and confidential issues.
- Adaptable to changing environments with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent facilitation, project management, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to foster a culture focused on safety, innovation, and teamwork.
- Demonstrated skill in SaskPower's Competencies.
- Must have a continuing record of professional development.
