Client: Global automotive logistics company

Location: Shreveport, LA

Pay: $21/hr 

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Position: Full-Time

  • First Shift 
  • Monday through Friday 
  • 06:00am to 02:45pm

Job Details

  • Inspect systems within a vehicle to diagnose and repair problems.
  • Run computerized diagnostic tests to help identify components that might be malfunctioning.
  • Perform mechanical inspections; run system diagnostics; and replace or repair defective components.
  • Perform mechanical warranty diagnostics, repairs, and correct quality issues with units prior to shipping
  • Correct major repair problems and
  • Create a bill of material (BOM), record labor time, and write detailed repair orders
  • Troubleshoot fuel, ignition, and emissions control systems, using electronic testing equipment Repair, overhaul, or adjust automobile brake systems
  • Test electronic computer components in automobiles to ensure proper operation
  • Align wheels, axles, frames, torsion bars, and steering mechanisms of automobiles, using special alignment equipment and wheel-balancing machines
  • Change spark plugs, fuel filters, air filters, and batteries in hybrid electric vehicles

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in automotive repair
  • Body Shop experience helpful
  • Knowledgeable and compliant with MSDS, EPA, and OSHA regulations

    Education

    • HS Diploma or GED

    Certificates & Licenses

    • ASE Certification preferred
    • A valid driver's license required

    Pre-employment

    • Applicant may be subject to a background check
    • Applicant may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Report
