Technician Wanted at Edmonton Refinery in Sherwood Park

We are looking for a Technician for our Edmonton Refinery in Sherwood Park!

Reporting to the team lead in the warehouse, you will perform in-plant deliveries of various materials and chemicals, issue materials and perform shipping and receiving duties. You will carry out the duties safely, accurately and in a timely fashion to ensure all materials are recorded and ready for pick-up.

Minimum requirements:

• High school education or equivalent
• Good written and verbal communication skills 
• Understanding of warehouse operations and or shipping and receiving
• Strong attention to detail

Responsibilities:

• Deliver chemicals, additives, lubricants, job materials and various supplies to designated areas onsite
• Ensure the accurate and valid receipt of materials physically received during delivery and are visually inspected and directed to quality assurance testing when required
• Manage the process of integrating the materials receipt into the inventory management system
• Ensure all materials are properly labeled before being received into the system and respective storage locations
• Ensure all materials are picked and staged accurately for authorization for expenditure and maintenance jobs and ensure inventory cycle counts are complete in all areas of the warehouses
• Ship all outgoing material from the refinery with proper documentation according to the transportation of dangerous goods requirements

Location and other Key Details:

• You will work out of our Edmonton refinery in Sherwood Park, located at 801 Petroleum Way
• Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
