Journeyman/Woman Instrumentation Technician

Location: Taber, AB

Salary: $42.81/hr

Job Type: Full-time

Openings: 2 positions

Schedule: 12-hour rotating schedule (3 on, 3 off – 3 days and 3 nights).

Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, repair, and maintain plant processing and packaging equipment.
• Read diagrams and schematic drawings for work procedures.
• Calibrate components and instruments as per manufacturer’s specifications.
• Consult manuals, circuit diagrams, and blueprints for tests and maintenance procedures.
• Inspect and test the operation of instruments using testing devices and precision measuring instruments.
• Ensure accurate and well-documented preventive maintenance work.
• Other relevant duties as required.

Certificates & Licenses

• Alberta Journeyman Instrumentation Mechanic Red Seal certification or equivalent.

Experience

• 3 years of related work experience.

Education

• ARC Flash training/certification is an asset.
• Completion of grade 12 or a GED.

Knowledge & Experience:

• Commitment to safety regulations and practices.
• Knowledge of power generating plants (asset).
• Blueprint reading skills.
• Food industry experience (asset).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Superior troubleshooting skills.
• Background in industrial and production maintenance.
• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
