What Cameco Corporation is Hiring for:

Reporting to the mine general supervisor you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all underground mining activities of both employees and contractors. You will ensure high quality work is executed through proper utilization of manpower and equipment, adhering to all company procedures and policies. You will organize and delegate tasks on a daily basis, ensuring all tasks are done safely and efficiently, promote and maintain a safe work environment, monitor infrastructure and equipment and coordinate with other departments to ensure repairs are done in a timely manner. You will also chair and present at monthly safety meetings.

Requirements of the position:

  • Minimum grade 12 diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three years of experience as a senior jet boring system operator
  • Lead hand/supervisory experience
  • Previous experience using SAP, SIGGA, and Bentley
  • Completed Saskatchewan Supervisory certification
  • Strong team player with organizational, problem solving and communication skills
  • Strong ability to use and navigate automated mining technology

Assets:

  • Familiarity with IOS systems and devices
  • Background in the operation of complex production machinery
  • Valid Saskatchewan or interprovincial journeyperson ticket in a related trade
 

Preference will be given to Residents of Saskatchewan’s North.
