Seeking Industrial Electricians in Mason City, IA - Per Diem, Up To $30/hr

• PAY: $30/hour
• HOURS: 40-60 hours a week
• Per Diem: $100 a day for travelers (7 days)
• SCHEDULE: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (Mon-Fri)

Industrial Electrician Job Description:

• Test and diagnose electrical systems up to 480 volts AC.
• Installs wiring and conduit for machinery and equipment up to 480VAC.
• Install, troubleshoot, and control circuitry, relays, and senders.
• Discuss operation variations with supervisors or other electrical and maintenance workers to diagnose problems with machines or repair machine.
• Replaces or repairs faulty electrical components of machinery, such as relays, motors, switches, printed circuit boards and position sensing devices. Rewires motors in conjunction with gearbox assemblies.
• Troubleshoots and repairs variable speed drives, process analyzers, and measuring equipment.
• Plans the layout of wiring and system installation within the facility.
• Reads blueprints, schematic drawings, and manuals to determine work procedures and diagnose problems. I will update prints to reflect field changes.
• Uses standard hand tools, instruments, and power tools as required.
• Follows oral or written instructions and work assignments. Completes checklists and work orders as required. Maintains records and logs of preventive electrical maintenance activities.
• Maintains general cleanliness of work areas. Maintains all tools and equipment used on the job in good working order.
• Participates in the training of apprentices and new employees.
• Follow plant and OSHA Safety Policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment. Maintain an awareness of plant environmental standards. Takes corrective action to address minor problems or reports compliance issues to the appropriate supervisor for resolution.
• Applicant must be able to obtain and maintain a TWIC or Transportation Workers Identification Card.

• Qualifications for Terminal Electrician:
• 6+ years of electrical experience in an Industrial setting.
• Proficiency with wire pulling, bending, and running EMT conduit.
• Ability to terminate and troubleshoot.
• Must be able to use hand/power tools and PPE safely.
• Must be able to perform job duties that require standing, crouching, twisting upper body, working at heights, lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted and working outside, hot/humid environment.
• Must have PPE including steel toe work boots, hard hat, gloves, high visibility vest, and protective eyeglasses.
• Must have standard electrical hand tools.
• Able to obtain TWIC badge

• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• Must have reliable transportation to the job site
• Applicant must be able to obtain and maintain a TWIC or Transportation Workers Identification Card
• Must be able to pass Background Check!
