What Cameco Corporation is Hiring for:

Reporting to the Manager, Asset Information Management, in the central team, you will be responsible for creation and maintenance of asset master data in Cameco’s enterprise asset management system (SAP-PM) including functional location and equipment records, bills of material for which material master requests may be required, and maintenance plans for which detailed work instructions may be required. These would be for operating site, and new assets as part of new projects. You may also assist with ancillary asset data systems like asset performance management and condition monitoring systems. The work may require review of technical drawings, manuals, and other information sources.

You will have the opportunity to work remote in this position. However, there will be need for visits to our operations in Northern Saskatchewan, and to Saskatoon Head Office for intermittent meeting. Such visits will be required to build relationships with stakeholders, and better understand their needs to provide more efficient and effective support on master data needs. The details of this flex work arrangement will be discussed with you in the recruitment process.

This is a temporary one-year term position.

 

Requirements of the position:

  • Diploma / Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Technology
  • Minimum of five to eight years of relevant work experience with industrial equipment of the nature for which master data must be created and maintain, either as trades person, technician, planner, or designer.
  • Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
  • Should be able to interpret P&IDs, Single Line Diagrams etc., along with proficiency with data manipulation
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP-PM (Plant Maintenance), Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work with tight schedules to meet project deadlines.

 

Assets:

  • Experience with SAP LSMW (Legacy System Migration Workbench) and SAP DMS (Document Management System)
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint
