Skilled Laborers Needed in Krotz Springs, LA: $20/hr - Per Diem Available

Job Scope / Duties:  Assist & perform in Mechanical Repairs, Refurbish, Cleaning and Inspect commercial and industrial  Cooling Towers . 

• Responsible for ensuring equipment is properly inspected and meets company standards

• Installs mechanical equipment including: motors, fans, gear boxes and fan shafts with knowledge of proper alignment

• Work areas should be barricaded, equipment that will be carried up the tower must be tied off, etc.

• Perform and assist with the removal and installation of cooling tower fills and drift eliminators; fan decking and hot water basin decking along with associated components; fiberglass walls, louvers and supports; in addition to wood and FRP stairways and ladders.

• May be asked to reads blue prints, sketches, or building plans for information pertaining to type of material required, dimensions of the structure or fixture

• Shapes materials to prescribed measurements using saws, chisels, and chain saws. 

• Assembles cut and shaped materials, Performs piping installation and Erects framework 

• Fits and installs cooling tower material as needed

• Responsible for job site clean up

• Maintaining a clean work area during and after all job functions;

• Any other duties as assigned by supervisor

Work Experience:

Must have 2 years of labor experience in Industrial or Commercial Construction field

Other Requirements:

Pass Drug Screen 

Pass Background Check ( No Felony )

TWIC Card In Hand

DISA Willing to test

Must have reliable transportation

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to climb ladders and not afraid of heights

Ability to stand for 8-12 hours a day

Ability to lift 30-40 lbs

Shifts:

Monday – Saturday 6am to 6pm 12 hrs days   

72 hrs per week

Pay:  DOE $20.00 - $25.00 hr

Up to $2200 w 72 hours/ week

$40.00 per day per Diem.
