Skilled Construction Laborers

Location: Abbotsford, BC

Salary: $27.00 - $41.00 per hour

Role & Responsibilities:

• Carpentry Work: Proficiency with carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.
• Construction Role: Framing, drywall installation, door and window fitting, molding work, measuring, cutting, shaping wood, assembling structures, and installing fixtures.
• Structural Installation: Building and installing structures, including framing work.
• Material Handling: Selecting and handling materials, lifting, carrying, and transporting heavy loads.
• Equipment Operation: Proficiency in using various construction equipment (hand tools, power tools).
• Reading Blueprints: Understanding and interpreting construction plans, blueprints, and schematics.
• Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment, and using protective gear.
• Collaboration: Working effectively in a team, coordinating tasks with other workers and contractors on-site.
• Problem-solving: Identifying and resolving issues during the construction process.
• Quality Assurance: Ensuring high-quality workmanship and compliance with construction standards and regulations.
• Communication: Effectively communicating with supervisors, team members, and clients regarding project progress and requirements.
• Site Maintenance: Keeping the work area clean, organized, and safe throughout the construction process.

Knowledge & Skills

• Previous involvement in residential construction is essential.
• Team player, actively collaborating and contributing to project progression.
• Proficient in reading and speaking English fluently.
  

Travel/Transportation

• Own reliable transportation is a must.

Pre-employment

• Eligible to work in Canada.

Physical Requirements

• Physically fit to perform the job.

Salary & Schedule:

• Apprentice Level: $23.00 - $26.00
• Entry Level: $27.00 - $30.00
• Intermediate Level: $31.00 - $34.00
• Senior Level (Minimum 5 years experience): $35.00 - $38.00

Work Schedule

• 8 hours per day
• 5 days per week
• With site locations predominantly in the Fraser Valley.
