Welding Engineer, Technical Support
Location: Burnaby, BC
Salary Range: $93,300.00 - $115,800.00 Per year
Short-term Incentive Eligible: Yes
Workplace Flexibility: No
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide materials and welding engineering support to Engineering and Operations departments.
- Participate in the development of emerging technologies, including hydrogen-related initiatives.
- Take on smaller projects under the guidance of senior welding engineers.
- Field inquiries from Engineering and Operations departments, becoming an independent subject matter expert.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and recommend enhancements to standards and procedures.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in material or welding.
Experience
- Four to seven years of related experience.
Certificates & Licenses
- Eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer with Engineers and Geoscientists BC
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional organization and initiative-taking abilities.
- Analytical mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
