What DCM Group is Hiring for:

Journeyman or Apprentice Millwright

Location: Esterhazy, SK
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Commensurate with experience
Schedule:

  • Rotational (14&7)
  • Day Shift (Shift Cycle subject to change)

Benefits: LOA

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Perform construction work involving climbing, rigging, and working at heights following safety procedures.
  2. Install, align, maintain, dismantle, and overhaul machinery, including pumps, heavy mechanical equipment, conveyor systems, pulleys, etc.
  3. Start up and shut down equipment in line with safety procedures and regulations.
  4. Install power drives, align power shafts, and pulleys.
  5. Modify layouts of machines and mechanical equipment in facilities.
  6. Use hoists, forklift trucks, rollers, or trolleys to move machinery.
  7. Collaborate with electricians or pipefitters for dismantling or installation jobs.
  8. Repair problems associated with new equipment.
  9. Make or repair machine guards, ensuring proper enclosure of equipment.
  10. Notify supervisors of potential hazards and document corrective actions.
  11. Perform repairs on all equipment within Federal and Provincial standards.
  12. Perform other duties as required by the Maintenance Superintendent.
  13. Conduct preventative maintenance on machines and equipment.

Certificates & Licenses

  • Proof of Active Apprenticeship and/or Valid Red Seal or Journeyman Certificate (Trade credential must be recognized in Saskatchewan).

Experience

  • Construction experience is an asset.
  • Experience in moving, assembling, disassembling, troubleshooting, and repairing various types of machinery and equipment.

Education

  • High degree of attention to prevent injury.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Ability to detect, isolate, and identify irregularities and malfunctions.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Practical problem-solving ability.
  • Interpretation of various instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Working Conditions:

  • Rotational shifts with 14 days on and 7 days off (Shift Cycle subject to change).
  • Day shift.
  • Travel to Esterhazy, Saskatchewan, is required.
  • Living out allowance provided.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry objects independently or as a team.
  • Must meet and maintain site access requirements.
