JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a skilled Aluminum Welder to join our clients team in the fabrication, maintenance and repair of tank trucks and equipment. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in MIG and TIG welding techniques and either hold a certificate of these or be willing to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

  • Perform aluminum welding operations on tank truck components using MIG and TIG welding processes
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to execute welding tasks accurately
  • Set up welding equipment according to specifications, including selecting appropriate welding techniques, voltage, amperage, and gas settings
  • Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality standards, such as cracks, voids, or distortion, and make necessary adjustments to welding parameters or techniques
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of welding equipment and materials
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures at all time to prevent accidents and injuries
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve production goals and deadlines
  • Assist others in tasks and projects as needed

Requirements

  • Experience as an Aluminum Welder, preferably in fabrication of tank trucks or similar equipment – will train on anything not familiar with
  • Certification of MIG and TIG welding processes – or willing to obtain certifications prior to starting
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols
  • Strong understanding of aluminum welding techniques, materials, and equipment
  • Ability to perform weld inspections and identify defects using visual and non-destructive testing methods
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment

Job Details

  • Hourly will be set depending upon experience
  • Schedule is Monday-Friday 8AM to 7PM and 1/2 days on Saturdays
  • Full benefits offered – health, dental, vision, etc.
  • Gloves and safety glasses will be provided – welder must provide own steel toed boots and welding helmet
  • Must be able to pass a drug and background check
  • Must be local to the area or willing to relocate to the area for the position

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $23.00 – $37.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 – 85 per week
