What Altrad Services Ltd is Hiring for:

CONDITIONS

  • FIFO, 14 days on / 7 days off, 10hrs/day, camp provided
  • FIFO, 20 days on / 8 days off, 10hrs/day, camp provided

KEY OBJECTIVES:

  • Commitment towards a safe working environment and positive safety culture
  • Responsible for delivering and maintaining high standards of work while carrying out the duties and responsibilities
  • Responsible for the loading and unloading of material and products as delivered. This includes the movement and accounting of material into and out of the laydown and storage areas.
  • Must be able to conduct manual handling of loads safely
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping.
  • Use appropriate material handling equipment to move product and materials to and from designated locations to support bulk activities in an efficient and safe manner.
  • Safe handling and storage of materials.
  • Stock process - handles delivery and sorting, including check of received goods.
  • Accurately complete documentation.

MAIN ACTIVITIES:

SAFETY

  • Ensure adherence of members of the workforce to Altrad Golden Rules and Life Saving Rules (LSR) through continuous mentoring and coaching.
  • Participate in the development of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)’s and site risk assessment discussions and adhere to the requirements of risk assessments and permits signed on to.
  • Prompt reporting of any witnessed hazards, near misses, incidents, and/or injuries no matter how minor.
  • Action and ensure approved barriers and signage is in place prior to the commencement of work, and are maintained throughout and removed upon safe completion.
  • Maintain appropriate hydration levels and monitor self for signs of heat stress and take shade breaks when required to ensure personal safety at all times.
  • Able to use Personal Protective Equipment provided - gloves, ear protection, eye protection, safety boots, Fire Retardant Clothing (FRC) as needed, and other PPE as required.
  • Monitor the fitness for purpose and signs of wear and tear of PPE, equipment and tooling being utilized. Promptly communicate any requirements for replacements to your supervisor.
  • Follow site safety procedures and objectives.
  • Prioritize safety over all else and look out for your colleagues.

QUALITY

  • Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the applicable documentation (i.e., specifications).
  • Handle and utilise materials, and other ancillaries/consumables in accordance with applicable material safety data sheets (MSDS).
  • Adhere to Hold points and do not proceed past them until an inspection is successfully completed.
  • Complete preliminary equipment checks.
  • Raise any safety/quality concerns and actively participate in discussions for improvements.

PEOPLE

  • Participate in pre-starts, de-briefs, and tool box meetings and have direct involvement in them.
  • Treat all colleagues with respect and commit towards a team effort. Maintain communication and cooperative relationships within the team and with other personnel on site.
  • Positively contribute to coordination and interface discussions.
  • Support trainees within the crews and if allocated as a mentor/buddy.

OPERATIONAL

  • Ensure entry and exit through the work site gates in adherence with approved shift times.
  • Ensure prompt timekeeping and travel to and from work fronts in adherence with approved break times.
  • Action appropriate and safe movement and storage of materials at the work fronts.
  • Strive to optimize productivity in a safe manner.
  • Interpret and correctly read drawings and specifications.
  • Plan and always maintain a good housekeeping regime.
  • Actively support the project’s continuous improvement drive through communication of any such ideas to the supervisor.

COMPLIANCE

  • Safe use of plant and equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations and site requirements
  • Demonstrate a willingness and capability to perform other duties as deemed appropriate and consistent with your professional qualifications, skill or experience
  • Positively interact with the site team and make make efforts to listen to and understand the needs of the team (both internal and external), anticipating and providing solutions to needs and giving high priority to customer satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

  • Valid Telehandler/Zoom Boom certification
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Inventory tracking/counting experience
  • 5 years minimum experience within a manufacturing, construction, or logistics environment
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel
  • Experience generating documentation of inventory
  • Organizational skills, and proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills (at a minimum)
  • Prior experience on Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) sites, is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrate practical experience of Risk Management processes
  • Valid Working at Heights ticket
  • First Aid Qualification is desirable
  • Elevated Work Platform (EWP) Ticket is desirable
  • Experience interacting with the range of trades or non-trades
  • Good communicator with the ability to positively work in a team environment
  • Willingness to work on a wide range of tasks involving on and off-site work as required
