Job Description

We are seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team. Your expertise in safely operating and communicating with other operators on-site will be crucial to ensuring the successful completion of our projects.

This permanent opportunity is based locally in Fort McMurray, with bussing provided to and from the site each workday. The ideal candidate for this role will be local to Fort McMurray. 

What would you be doing?

• Operating a Haul Truck or other heavy equipment in an open pit mine.
• Operating assigned heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Understand and adhere culture-building to all policies, procedures, and standards.
• Participating in all safety and culture building programs.
• Training on new equipment when requested. 

Does this sound like you?

• At least 2000 hours of work experience operating 773+ Haul Truck, Articulating Truck, D6+ Dozer OR 250+ Excavator, Loader or Grader. 
• Valid driver's license with 3-year driver's abstract required.
• Common Safety Orientation (CSO).
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
• Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing, and lifting (up to 50 lbs.), climbing, shoveling, bending, twisting, etc.
• High school diploma and/or post-secondary degree considered an asset.
