Carpenter Lead Hand 

Location: North Vancouver, BC

Pay: $39.47 per hour 

Position: Full time

Job Details

• Having good knowledge of the construction, erection and installation of wood and engineered formwork systems for decks, columns and walls.
• Wood backing and various carpentry duties.
• The setting of door frames.
• Erecting and building scaffolding for access and concrete formwork decks.
• Building hoardings and temporary shelters.
• Completing task hazard assessments and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Supervising carpenters, apprentices and other construction workers

Experience

• Carpenter Lead Hands must have 4 or more years of construction experience in commercial and/or civil construction.

• General carpentry and/or concrete formwork experience, both engineered and freeform considered a key asset.

Certificates & Licences

• Trade certification an asset.
• Completion of trade school or industry courses as carpenter an asset.

Knowledge & Skills

• Lead Hands will have skills and experience leading and supervising small teams.

Qualities

• Understanding and the ability to follow safe work procedures and work within a crew accordingly.
