Habitat Restoration Team Lead
Job description
We are a family-owned native plant nursery that specializes in habitat restoration, reclamation, and specialty planting services. Our comprehensive approach involves operating our own tree nursery, harvesting local native plants, and carrying out the planting process, creating a fulfilling and self-contained cycle. This line of work can even become a fulfilling career for individuals who are passionate about nature, enjoy working outdoors, and take pride in doing things right from the start. Previous experience in landscaping, nursery work, or construction is preferred for interested candidates.
Being a part of our crew entails active physical engagement throughout the day, which includes tasks like bending, digging, and lifting objects weighing over 50 pounds. It provides an excellent opportunity to stay in shape while enjoying the rewards of a meaningful job. Please note that if you are not physically capable of performing such tasks, this position may not be suitable for you.
As part of our operations, crew members will operate various mechanical equipment, which may include ATVs, tractors, mowers, weed eaters, plant augers, chain saws, hand tools, and snow removal equipment, among others.
Safety is of utmost importance to us, and we expect all crew members to prioritize it. This includes diligently completing daily paperwork, such as timesheets, hazard assessments, material requisitions, inspections, and other health and safety documents.
