Local Delivery Driver (non-CDL)

Location: Chambersburg, PA

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour, DOE

Position: Full time

Responsibilities

• Deliver cabinets, rails, stairs, and other items to personal homes. 
• Boxes are pre-loaded but need to be hooked up to the trailer at the beginning of each sift.
• Out of the work week drivers are driving roughly 60% of the time
• On a daily basis driver may drive anywhere between 100 to 400 miles, with up to 12 stops
• Upon arrival to the jobsite for delivery driver helpers are to exit the vehicle and be the spotter for parking.
• One may not always be able to get into the driveway and therefore may have to walk the  product up to 100 yards to reach the house.
• Drivers and any helpers are responsible for unloading the trucks upon parking
• Stairs can weigh between 180-480 lbs o Rails weigh about 40 lbs on average
• Cabinets can weigh between 30-210 lbs 
• Employees are expected at times to lift up to 75 lbs on their own, any material that is heavier in weight can be loaded with the help of a co-worker
• Stairs, rails, and ultimate tread get delivered into the house
• Cabinets and built-ins get delivered to the respective rooms of the house, which may require  drivers to carry  this product up to 3 flights of stairs
• Secure any and all returns in the box before departure
• Maintain accurate records and logs, including delivery pictures
• Trucks are to be cleaned and maintained at the end of every shift

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 75lbs 

Certificates & Licences

• Valid Drivers License 

Competencies

• Ability to work with others 
• Able to work overtime as needed

Experience

• Must be 21 years or older 
• Prefer 2 years of experience

• Clean driving record for 3 years prior
