Journeyed Trade Plant Electrician

Location: NIPAWIN, SK (Northern Hydro Station - SaskPower Nipawin)

Type: Permanent, Full Time

Key Accountabilities:

• Interpret and implement plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Analyze and diagnose equipment malfunctions, taking corrective action.
• Participate in the design and field modification of apparatus and equipment.
• Inspect, service, and operate specialized equipment and tools.
• Requisition and maintain an adequate inventory of parts and supplies.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, test, and repair industrial, electrical, and control systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.
• Arrange for appropriate permits and develop/perform switching procedures.
• Read, compile, and maintain records and drawings.
• Adhere to safety and environmental standards, regulations, and corporate commitments.
• Participate in continuous educational and professional development.
• Prepare cost estimates.
• Supervise apprentices and other staff, as required.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Certificates & Licenses

• Interprovincial Journeyperson Electrician Certificate or equivalent.
• Valid Saskatchewan Electrical Journeyperson Licence.
• SaskPower Hydro Station Operator Certificate or equivalent (or ability to attain within 24 months).

• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
