Heavy Riggers

Location: Norwalk, CT

Job Type: Direct hire 

Annual salary: $90k/year

Role: 100% remote but does require extensive travel to sites. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret Construction drawings, and specifications to plan and execute the construction of steel structures.
• Operate cranes and other heavy machinery to move steel components into place, using rigging equipment such as cables, slings, and hooks.
• Use cutting torches and other equipment to cut and shape steel components asneeded.-Perform quality control checks to ensure that all welds and connections meet safety and quality standards.
• Always adhere to safety regulations and guidelines, including wearing appropriate protective gear and following proper safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with other construction workers and project managers to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.

Travel/Transportation:

• Willing to travel 90% of the time.

• 3-5 years-Experience supervising a crew of 5- 10
• Experience laying out and erecting steel structures
• Experience rigging equipment up to 100tons

• Clean driving record.
• Crane Operator License is preferable
