What Viacore is Hiring for:

We are seeking an experienced Red Seal Ironworker to execute complex tasks on project sites. This position contributes to Viacore’s reputation for safe and timely project execution and is vital to the long-term success of the Mechanical Services division

Key Responsibilities:

Follow all safe work practices and procedures
Maintain a positive workplace
Give direction and mentor new workers to help them work safely and productively
Assist in creating job scopes for field/shop projects
Spot check jobs to ensure that they are being carried out in a safe manor
Critical thinking and problem solving skills
Willingness and ability to work overtime
Willingness to travel and work shift-work
Leadership experience an asset
Rigging and Hoisting

Qualifications/Education:

Journeyman Ironworker Certificate
Extensive rigging/hoisting experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience working on a multi-trade crew
Driver’s license and clean driving record
Ability to pass pre-access and post-incident drug and Alcohol test
Able to work independently or in a team environment
ICCS Leadership training certificate would be considered an asset
5+ years Oilsands experience
